The Globe Digested, 4/5/07
- Alison Arnett thinks that Newton's 51 Lincoln "can be dazzling", but the service "ranged from harried to clueless."
- Bella English learns about the "messes" at Comella's in West Roxbury. Apparently, they're the pasta equivalent of a Cold Stone creation.
- Katie Johnston Chase has a "satisfying meal" at Sagra, which puts her on the positive side of the raging "Sagra: Good or Not" debate (more on this later).
- Arnett also takes a gander (ha!) at locally produced eggs. Like us, she is not able to resist a good egg pun. (Sidebar: does anyone remember the egg cartoons that used to appear in the Globe's "Fun Pages"? We remember finding those hilarious when we were in kindergarten.)
- Dice-K fever continues unabated at Boston restaurants.
- Debra Samuels tips us off to some Portuguese Easter bread at Central Bakery in East Cambridge.
- Chef Peter McCarthy of Somerville's EVOO (like Jer-Ne, a great restaurant with a terrible name) contributes an appealingly gluttonous recipe for pork tenderloins wrapped in bacon, and Framingham resident Penelope Kotidis offers two excellent Greek recipes.
