Review Revue: 10/24/08

• Raphael Kadushin at the Epi-Log takes a tour of Chicago's hotel dining scene. From The Cafe at the Ritz Carlton to NoMI to Shanghai Terrace to, at last, Mercat a la Planxa — hotel-ensconced restaurants have risen far above the rubbery chicken and depressed business-trippers of yesterday.

• @tweatingout weighs in on Angelina Ristorante. Stick to the tried-and-true — a lot of the menu is a hit-or-miss gamble.

• the tweeters are also getting their glutton on at LuLu's in Evanston. Stay away! "Panda Express is more authentic." Eek.

• Anthony Todd at Chicagoist not only adores the Ginger Fizz cocktail at The Gage, he's managed to score the recipe too.

• Matt B forges on with his endless eating, taking the Chicago Traveler (er, that'd be himself) to Chicago Pizza & Oven Grinder for some of their signature sausage-studded pizza pot pie, which might be exactly what we want for dinner tonight.
