Philadelphia, America's Sweat-Suit Capital

It's official: Philadelphia is the sweat-suit capital of America. According to John Fetto of Simmons research, Philadelphia-area residents buy more sweat-suits per capita than any other metropolitan area in the country. Far more: One out of every three adults here has purchased matching sweats, compared to one out of four in New York and San Francisco. Weighing in on Philadelphia'new demographic goodness, Vetri co-owner Jeff Benjamin said that sweats are allowed at the posh restaurant, but that he does not get it. "I don't kick them out, it's a personal thing. I personally don't think I would feel comfortable in a sweatsuit." Benjamin, for the record, prefers three-piece suits.
