Everyone Who Knows Knows The Melrose Diner's New Owner

20070627melrose.gifThe Melrose Diner, which has supplied generations of Philadelphians with greasy morning breakfasts and 2am burgers, has a new owner. Richard Kubach, Jr.—whose family founded the restaurant in 1937—sold the Melrose to local diner magnate Michael Petrogiannis. Petrogiannis also owns the Mayfair Diner, the Country Club Diner, Tiffany Diner, the Warminster West Diner, and the Michael's chain of diners.
