Rick's Steaks: Outta Here

It's official: Rick's Steaks are outta here. Last minute negotiations between owner Rick Olivieri (accompanied by reps from the market's Amish contingent) and Reading Terminal Market management fell through on Friday. There's still no word on, as threatened, whether the annual Amish festival will be cancelled in solidarity with Olivieri or not. The last day of business for Rick's will be Wednesday; a branch of Tony Luke's will replace them.

that is it not only a stab in the back to a mainstay of the Reading Terminal but as insulting as well!

If the Reading Terminal gets another steak shop in there, I will boycott the new owner.

that is so dirty and underhanded, if Rick's was paying a fair rent and on time, they should be the store there.

Let's get serious. I realize this is a business but if the management of Tony Luke's had any class they would stay out of Rick's spot in the Reading Terminal. I won't even get into the fact that Tony Luke's steaks can't hold a candle to Rick's....

Good luck to Rick Olivieri and staff and I hope they are able to work this out. Thank God they have a spot at the ball park

This is pathetic...Tony Luke's steaks are horrible. Rick's has been there for what seems like forever. From this day forward every one I speak to will know that Tony Luke's steaks are the worst in the city.
