Is Jonathan Newman Getting A Newspaper Gig?

20071106newman.jpgThis is intriguing. Ex-Oddjacker and current Philadelphia mag blogmaestro A.J. Daulerio got wind of the fact that ex-LCB chairman (and all-around mensch) Jonathan Newman is in talks with the Inquirer and Daily News for a p/t gig with Brian Tierney and company. No word on whether it's an editorial gig, an executive gig or what. But during his time at the Liquor Control Board, Newman vastly increased the selection of Pennsylvania liquor stores, pioneered Sunday hours and generally did everything humanly possible to improve the moribund bureaucracy there. Here's hoping...
