The Inquirer, Digested

• Ever so in tune with the season, the Inky has a whole list of hearty wines that are good for autumnal fare. (Think barolos and pinot noirs.)

• Cafe Cret opened recently and Rick Nichols wishes that it were a little bit more than it is. More Philadelphian, more like New York's Shake Shack, more... memorable.

• Once again, lots to look forward to with this week's edition of the food calendar. Annual oyster-pork supper? The Garces-Vetri dinner? Yes please!
