Saturday, May 5: For some reason, a lot of Mexican restaurants are having special events on Saturday. There's an all-day fiesta at Mamacita, where "tamales, tacos, tequila and more" will be flowing.

Tuesday, May 8: Another month, another Grower's Dinner at Jack Falstaff. Greg Brewer of Brewer Clifton and Diatom Wineries will show off his Santa Barbara concoctions.

Monday, May 14: The aptly-named Champagne & Oysters event at SoMa's District will take place. Tickets are $65 in advance and $75 at the door. Hog Island's best oysters will be paired by District's wine director in what promises to be a memorable evening. Space is limited to 100 people.

Friday and Saturday, May 18-19: Rogue Ale House will host the Brewers Memorial Ale Fest, a dog-friendly beer fest. Lots of dog-related events abound, including a Doggie Olympics and an American Idol Dog contest. Benefits go to the Humane Society of Oregon. Woof.

Saturday, May 19: Ka'ala returns to Pacific Catch to strum that ukele on the patio.

Thursday, June 14: Morton's, The Steakhouse is happy to present Women of Spirit, a $150/head event that features a "38 city wine flight" and the celebration of women across the nation.
