Exchange Mangoes For Dinner
Gail Shepherd over at the New Times brought our attention to the regional locavore guide in the latest issue of Food & Wine. The magazine tapped local expert Allen Susser of Chef Allen's for information. He has some excellent suggestions, although what most interested us was the part about how he trades free meals with his customers in exchange for mangoes from their backyards. You've probably got to bring a whole bunch of mangoes, but we've seen how many fruits these local trees produce — that shouldn't be a problem.
