The Las Olas Outdoor Gourmet Market, the Lincoln Road Farmers Market, and the Normandy Village Marketplace, all run by The Market Company, are staying open year-round; during the summer, the focus will be tropical fruits as opposed to vegetables. The company is also introducing a new farmer's market at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Alamo Park; beginning May 7, fruit and prepared food vendors will be there every Thursday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Let the countdown to mango season begin.

Good riddence as its about time as they all should have taken a page from the Gables Market as these pretentious pretend farmers and store owners who are selling food at retail hasnt a clue as to what a true farmers market really is as we here is South Florida are being exploited by what is and has been sold in these Green Markets. From poor quality to small amounts no market standout as a true food dstination, as our supermarkets and specialty stores offer better quality at so much better prices on average that the educated consumer needsa to realize they are paying for an idea, an idea that their produce is as fresh as they think-ifd they really want the goods get in the car and get to the redlands and buy from the farmers-skip the middle people, the mark-ups and the attitude as its really about the quality, not too mention the destination as I am in the process of writing an article on just the Ghost town farmers markets of South Florida..look for my post...Until then the sherlock says for produce think Whole Foods...
