The Guide To Boozy Mother's Day Brunches
Mother's Day is this Sunday, and rather than run down a list of ho-hum brunches, we thought we'd present a few where both you and mom can leave much happier, thanks to copious quantities of alcohol. Here are a few ideas:
• Chef Allen's is offering a three-course prix fixe menu for $39 per person; add the $25 wine supplement, which will pair a different wine with each course, and you'll have enough booze for a buzz.
• DeVito South Beach is offering each mom a bottomless glass of prosecco all weekend long with brunch or dinner.
• Palm Beach's The Breakers will have two brunches going: one expensive meal in The Circle ocean-view dining room ($115 adults, $45 kids) and a slightly less expensive ($100 adults, $40 children) one in the Ponce de Leon ballroom. At those prices, you expect unlimited champagne, and you'll get it. Each mom gets a rose too.
• The champagne flutes are also bottomless at Palm Beach's Ritz-Carlton. The Mother's Day brunch is $80 per adult and $25 per child.
• So Texas de Brazil isn't exactly offering a boozy brunch, but moms eat free there with the purchase of another dinner (up to two complimentary meals per table). Which means that there should be plenty of cash left over to buy a bottle (or two) of wine.
• Smith & Jones is offering its regular brunch menu from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. with lots of drink specials — think $6 bloody marys.
